The Kilkenny Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Kilkenny SPCA) is a non-profit animal rescue and welfare organisation affiliated to the ISPCA. The Kilkenny SPCA was founded in 1882, and has been a registered charity since 1937.Our aim is to improve the welfare of all animals - both domestic and wild - through a range of activities, including inspection of reported cases of cruelty, provision of a subsidised neutering scheme, aid in rehoming of animals, and promotion of education on animal welfare.
The Kilkenny SPCA is staffed by volunteers and relies entirely on donations for funding. If you wish to make a contribution, please click on our Help section.

Jessie + Dougie
I am currently looking to rehome two female wired hair terriers to a good home due to having to move away for work, They are mild mannered dogs and very good with both children and adults and we would be hoping to rehome them together, they are mother and daughter. Jessie-the brown and white dog is the mother - and is spayed. She is a lovely quiet dog , very good with adults and children and very good within the house. Dougie is the black and white dog and is a year old and also spayed. She is also a nice quiet dog and they really enjoy each other company. Both are kept outside at night but in the evenings and days that we are home they are in the house with us and loved been petted and curled up beside us. I would appreciate any help that you could give to us on this as we are quite anxious giving them away. We would be hoping to have them gone be the end of the month and we can hold onto them until that stage while we look for a home for themMany thanks

Ozzy
Hi, Im hoping you will be able to help me, I am living in Skeaugh, Callan, Co. kilkenny and my cat 'ozzy' has been missing since last thursday 23rd of feb from my home. He is 2 and half years old and a very distinctive looking cat who is neutered and i am lost without him. he is not really an outdooe cat and has always slept inside since a kitten so i am very worried about him, i have put up photos in the area and also been to local vets just incase but no sign. i would very much appreciate if you could upload this photo for me and just maybe someone might know where he is. if you need any more info please do not hesitate to contact me via email or my mobile, 086 0640347 or my work, 052 9153535.

2 Dogs Stolen
Please help, our two bichon frise dogs were stolen from our garden, 29th Feb 2012 in the Cairn Dubh Area of Tramore, Co Waterford, my only hope of getting them back is to email as many animal rescues as i can in the hope that either one or both will be handed in, Unfortunately none are microchipped, One is male and the other is female,the male (Chip) is neutured and is 10 years old, and the female (Pheobi) isnt neutured and is 4 years old, both are in need of a groom and the male (chip) has a tuff of hair missing from his back.
