DAFM Animal Welfare Grant 2020
Each year the Department for Agriculture, Food and the Marine welcome applications from Animal welfare organisations for grant aid to support their causes.
There are over 200 registered animal welfare charities in Ireland, so application for the grant is competitive, with rigorous check in place to make sure the awarded charities are operating to the correct standards, and that the funding is being spent on animal welfare efforts.
The Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Charlie McConalogue T.D.,said “I am delighted to award this funding to animal welfare bodies countrywide, in what has been a particularly challenging year for the charity sector. These awards mark the largest allocation of funding to animal welfare bodies by my Department, and I am confident that the support will make a great difference to the lives of Irish animals.’’
We are delighted to announce that we were one of the 101 charities who were successful in securing funding from the grant process. We have been awarded €15,000 in funding which is vital for us to continue to do the important work we do. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Department for the grant support, both from ourselves and the animals we work hard to protect.
